About the Dallas County Young Democrats
The Dallas Young Democrats is an organization open to 14 - 36 year olds that believe in the Democratic way. In other words, we're young North Texans working for a better tomorrow for everyone in our community.
As one of the fastest-growing Democratic clubs in the Dallas area, and one of the largest Young Democrats groups in the nation, our organization offers a unique opportunity for young adults looking to get involved in the Dallas community and politics.
Our monthly meetings feature speakers from around Dallas and the nation. From elected officials to grassroots activists, we offer our members a wide range of perspectives on the current political climate and issues important to young Democrats. Previous speakers include state Representative Terri Hodge, Dallas Mayor Pro Tem John Loza and Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson.
But there's more to the DCYDs than just meetings. Every month we hold a happy hour which is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded young Dallasites. We also volunteer for local Democratic campaigns and other worthwhile causes and send delegations around the country for national YD events.
